Tom Fasciszewski MD
Co-chair of the board
Dr. Tom Faciszewski is the Medical Director of Supply Chain for Saint Joseph’s Hospital (SJH) and Ministry Health Care (MHC). He is an Orthopedic Spine surgeon and the Service Line Coordinator of Marshfield Clinic’s System Wide Surgical Spine Program. He has been actively involved in supply chain and has helped implement many key initiatives for SJH and MHC. He serves as a reference and resource to Consorta for clinically sensitive preference items and has presented multiple years at both Consorta and HPG annual conferences. He is a Past President of the North American Spine Society.
Stephan Becker MD
Dr Becker is a consultant spine surgeon at the Orthopädisches Spital Speising, Vienna, Austria and a member of the Medimpuls center for diagnostics, therapy and training. He is also involved in multiple projects dedicated to bringing orthopaedic care to developing countries, spanning 13 countries on 4 continents. In addition to orthopaedics, Dr Becker has developed an expertise in sports medicine as well as chiropractics. His more recent works have brought him to publish and present several research papers focusing on vertebral augmentation and to work with companies such as Skeltex Technologies and Benvenue Medical to develop innovative treatment improvements for vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty.
Hansen Yuan MD
Dr. Hansen A. Yuan is a Professor of Orthopaedic and Neurological Surgery at the State University of New York (SUNY) Upstate Medical University. He holds hospital appointments at SUNY Upstate Medical Center, Crouse-Irving Memorial Hospital and Veterans Administration Hospital. Dr. Yuan holds membership in many professional societies a few of which include: the American Medical Association, Orthopaedic Research Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Research Society, American College of Surgeons, International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine, North American Spine Society, and the Scoliosis Research Society. Many of these societies have honoured Dr. Yuan's research and writing with grants and research awards. Dr. Yuan has authored over 100 articles, many abstracts published in peer-reviewed journals and has been a contributing author of 16 chapters to medical books.
Peter Jarzem MD
Dr Peter F Jarzem is an Orthopaedic Surgeon and researcher at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Center. He is a member of several specialty societies such as the Canadian Spine Society, Quebec Scoliosis Society and the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. Dr Jarzem has pursued a number of research interests focusing on the spine and consulted with companies such as Medtronic and Biorthex for new products.
